International kindness

I'm amazed by the rest of the world's response to hurricane Katrina. The Swiss are sending money to us, the richest people on Earth. France, the most hated country in America, has offered heartfelt condolences and aid. Even the President of Venezuela, who days ago learned that a powerful American televangelist called for his head, offered to send oil to help stabilize things here. The world is really amazing.

Kid, it was definitely frustrating watching the president strum a guitar and share cake hundreds of miles away from the country's greatest natural disaster without showing even a hint of concern. Hopefully the fly-over he did recently will shock him back into reality and finally get him working.

All this aid and Bush says he has to get a plan together before he can accept anything... By the time he gets his lazy Texan ass in gear, most of those people will be dead.
